Prime Minister Narendra Modi will set up the Nayavali and Panki -Termian power projects in Ghatampur to introduce Panki and Neywali power plants. A budget of 28509.94 crore was spent for both of these projects. Two 660 MW projects are currently under construction at the Neywali plant, while a plant started working. The project built in Ghatampur is one of the largest thermal power projects in the state. The total production capacity is 1.980 MW (3 x 660 MW). The first unit, which has a capacity of 660 MW, is ready for power generation. The total cost of this project is 21,780.94 crore, of which 9.337.68 crore was spent on the first unit. The project is run under the joint Aegis of the Ministry of Coal, the Government of India and the Department of Energy, the government of Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, the general manager of the Panki power station, Govind Kumar Mishra, said the prime minister laid the foundation stone in 2019 after receiving the 2018 approval from the project. The construction of the project was spent on Rs 6729 crore. The 660 MW power generation began from this plant.
