1 Woman Dies, Another is injured in West Town High-Rise Blaze
One Woman Has Died and Another was injured During a fire that erupted in a fourth-floor apartment of a high-ris thighsday morning in west town.
A WOMAN WAS FOUND DEAD IN A FOURTH-FLOOR UNIT THAT THE 8:50 AM FIRE WAS CONFINED TO, ACCING TO LARRY MARRITT, A SPOKESSESS FOR THE CHICAGO FIRE DEPARTMENT. HER NAME AND PROMOUNCEMENT INFORMATION HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED.
A Woman from another apartment sufferered smoke inhalation that was not thought to be life-threatening, and she was taken to Stroger Hospital, Meritt Said.
The Cause of the Fire, which was quickly extinguished, was under investigation.
