Indore Municipal Corporation fulfills the determination of self -sufficiency: Kailash Vijayvargiya
Indore, April 3 (IANS). Indore, the Business City of Madhya Pradesh, has had great success in tax collection. In FY 2024-25, Indore Municipal Corporation received tax revenue from Rs 1 000 crore. The Minister of Urban Urban Administration, Kailash Vijayvargiya, described it as a growing step towards the intention of the corporation to self -sufficiency. Kailash Vijayvargiya reached the municipal meeting. He said that he did not come as minister in this meeting of the council, but that he had come from Indore as a citizen and MLA. He appreciates the work of Indore Municipal Corporation and said that the municipal corporation is doing a very good job. This time (in 2024-25) tax collection of Rs 1,000 crore was collected, it is a record. No municipal corporation in Madhya Pradesh has to date collected as much tax. This tax collection will fulfill the determination to create a self -sufficient corporation. Referring to the economic condition of the municipal corporation and municipalities of Madhya Pradesh, Minister Vijayvargiya said that the condition of all the municipal corporations and municipalities of the state is that money is sent from Bhopal, and then the salary is distributed. But the Indore municipal corporation has recovered so much tax this year that there is no more concern about salary. Whatever money will come from Delhi or Bhopal, it will come for the development of the city. Indore is identified as the cleanest city in the country. Not only that, Indore also won the title six times in terms of cleanliness. In addition, the corporation has now set a new record in terms of tax collection.
