Mentrans IFTITAH invited the Patriot Expedition team to turn on poverty villages

Jakarta – Minister of Transmigration (Mentrans) IFTITAH Sulaiman gave an information session to the Patriot Expedition team participants to be sent to different transmigration areas. He invited the team to revive the town. “On the battlefield, the hero was measured by how many enemies he defeated. Today, the hero was measured by how many villages he turned on. How many families he raised,” IFTITAH said Monday (25/8/2025) in the Ministerial Lecture Mission Patriot for the Patriot Expedition team in Balai Kartini, South Jakarta. IFTITAH said the Patriot Expedition program was inspired by the ‘Mission Command’ military leadership that emphasizes the velocity, the courage to make decisions and leadership leadership. IFTITAH explained that there were eight basic principles to be held in the field by Patriot team members, namely competence, mutual trust, mutual understanding, the guidance of the commander, clear mission orders, initiatives, discipline, courage to accept risks and constant improvement. “If we succeed, make the best practice. If we fail, make it a lecture. Above all is the most important to give up. Don’t give up, don’t give up. Never give up,” he said. IFTITAH said the challenges of development in the transmigration area are not just the agricultural sector. He said there must be downstream and industrialization. “Therefore, store it in every memory in mind, analysis, find potential for industrialization and downstream in the transmigration area. I’m sure there are many problems that will be found by ladies and gentlemen, but should not become a hindrance,” he said. He then prayed for a member of the Patriot Expedition team to be the Nobel laureate. He hoped that the knowledgeable participants would help solve people’s problems. “I pray that there is one of you who will become a Nobel laureate. It is not excessive, because history shows that Indonesia almost gave the Nobel invinder done in this country,” he said. To note, the Patriot Expedition was attended by 2000 students from 7 universities, namely ITB, IPB, IPB, ITS ,, The University of Gadjah Mada, University of Indonesia, the University of Padjadjaran and Diponegoro University. They will be sent by the government today to 154 transmigration areas in all corners of Indonesia. (HAF/HAF)
