High level meeting to review Kovid -19 in Bihar, the Department of Health said - 'don't have to panic'

After receiving two Corona patients in a private hospital in Patna, the capital of Bihar, the Department of Health on Monday held a review meeting on the current status of Kovid-19 infection and preparations to handle it. This important meeting is chaired by the additional general secretary of Development Commissioner Cum Health Department, Pratyam Amrit. The meeting has reviewed the current status of Kovid-19 infection, availability of health facilities, examinations for investigation and treatment and providing necessary resources, including medicine and oxygen. On this occasion, the additional general secretary called on the public that it is not necessary to panic with the new variant of Corona, but to be vigilant and aware. According to the Indian SARS-KOV-2 Ginomic Consortium (Insacog), two new subvariants of Kovid-19-NB1.8.1 and LF.7 were identified in India. The World Health Organization has both placed in the category ‘variants supervised’, which means they are not very dangerous. During the meeting, the suffix Amrit instructed all civilian surgeons and superintendents of medical colleges to identify suspicious matters, identify active monitoring and ensure timely investigation. All the districts were also instructed to be ready for any possible situation. He informed that the Department of Health ensured adequate test kits, masks, medicines, oxygen and equipment to all districts. The additional secretary secretary emphasized the assurance of transparency, effective coordination and accountability in health services.
