(File photo) Nizamuddin Dargah Jashn e Charaga: This time, just before Diwali, the atmosphere turned hot in Delhi’s famous Dargah of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya. Controversy has arisen over the lighting of ‘Jashn-e-Charaga’ i.e. Diwali lamps organized here on October 18. This program of lights has been celebrated as a tradition in the Dargah for years. But this time because of this the spark of politics ignited. Actually the Muslim organization ‘Muslim Rashtriya Manch’ associated with RSS has announced to light Diwali lamps in the Dargah this time. The Dargah Committee strongly objected to this. The Dargah Committee says that no permission was taken from them for this program and it is being organized without any information. The committee has also filed a complaint against this at the Nizamuddin police station. In the complaint, action was demanded against Muslim Rashtriya Manch. The Manch says that like every year, this time too they will celebrate ‘Jashn-e-Charaga’ and “definitely light the lamps of peace and unity.” Committee’s opposition: How to organize a program without permission? The Dargah Committee said in its complaint that the religious discipline and tradition of the Dargah belongs to all. But no organization has the right to organize a program there without permission. A member of the committee said, “This Dargah is open to people of all religions. But it is not acceptable for any political organization to make it a publicity platform.” Clash between Muslim Wing of RSS and Dargah Committee. RSS Related Platform’s Answer: Lighting of lamps is a tradition, while Muslim Rashtriya Manch claims to give the message of brotherhood by lighting Diwali lamps in the Dargah for many years. The national convener of the forum said, “Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya gave the message of love. We are conveying the same message. Those who protest are spreading hate.” According to sources, RSS leader Indresh Kumar will also participate in this program. As a result, this whole event took on a political color. Delhi Police alert, increased surveillance in Dargah area. The police have increased security in Nizamuddin area in view of the possibility of increasing dispute. Officials say talks are being held with both sides to avoid any religious or communal tensions. The police also said the decision on permission for the program will be taken as per the rules.
