The Jharkhand High Court has instructed to appoint vacancies in other constitutional institutions, including Information Commission, Lokayukta, Women’s Commission, Human Rights Commission in the state by August. A divisional bank from the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in Jharkhand, Ms. Ramchandra Rao, and Justice Rajesh Shankar, instructed this while submitting the public interest and contempt requests by lawyer Rajkumar and Advocate Association. During the hearing, Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan told the court and retained the government that the appointment of constitutional positions be interrupted due to a lack of opposition in the state meeting. For the appointment of the head of many constitutional institutions, it is compulsory for the leader of opposition in the selection committee. Now the election of the leader of opposition was held, so the appointment process for many posts was also started. Soon all constitutional posts will be appointed. For this he requested the court to give time. On this, the court prescribed the next hearing of the case in August and instructed it to notify the court by appointing vacancies. During the hearing, the proponent of the applicant Abhay Mishra told the court that the same thing had long been said by the government that the appointment process was underway, the appointment would be made soon. The process has not yet been completed. All constitutional positions in the state are vacant. Lokayukta, chairman of the Women’s Commission and many other posts are vacant, but even after the court’s instructions, the appointment process is not completed. Thousands of applications are pending due to the vacancy of posts. It is noteworthy that the first pill was filed in the year 2020 to claim appointment in the vacant posts of information commissioners. He has since been heard several times. During the previous hearing, the Supreme Court made a strong remark about the government on this.
