Just days after Blue Origin’s all-female mission on Monday, April 14, Lauren Sánchez, one of the stars on the New Shepard rocket, revealed on Instagram that her close friends Kris Jenner and Khloé and Kim Kardashian, had given her an “out of this world” Judith Leiber Couture bag to commemorate the milestone.

On Wednesday, April 16, the author and helicopter pilot, 55, took to Instagram to show off the UFO-shaped designer clutch that, before selling out online, retailed for $6,995. Besides having a unique shape, the accessory boasts baguette and geometric crystals all over, giving it that otherworldly feel.

Jenner reshared the image to her Instagram Stories, writing, “We love you and are so proud of you!”

Jenner and Khloé were on the ground of the West Texas launch site, where Sánchez, alongside Gayle King, Katy Perry, rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn, blasted off for their approximately 11-minute round-trip expedition to the edge of space.

During a livestream of the event, Khloé revealed that she felt emotional watching the historic moment take place.

“I literally had chills all over my body from the second it launched until the moment I just saw it land,” she said. “And it’s sort of hard to explain because I don’t think you think you would be that emotional. But it’s incredible. It takes your breath away. I feel like I have all this adrenaline, and I’m just standing here.”

The Good American founder also admitted that, while she’s uncertain if she’ll hop aboard a rocket one day, watching the Blue Origin crew made the idea “a little more enticing.”

Jenner, on the other hand, wasn’t so keen on the idea. “You can go on behalf of the rest of us,” she told her daughter, adding, “But I think we’d all drag you off of the tarmac before we let you go up.”

Since news of the mission, which marks Jeff Bezos’ space tech company’s 11th human flightit’s been slammed by a handful of celebritiesincluding Olivia Munn, Olivia Wilde, Emily Ratajkowski and Amy Schumer.

“I get really fired up,” Sánchez said in response to the flak during a press conference held after New Shepard’s landing.

“I would love to have them come to Blue Origin and see the thousands of employees that don’t just work here, but they put their heart and soul into this vehicle,” she said. “They love their work and they love the mission and it’s a big deal for them.”

“So when we hear comments like that, I just say, ‘Trust me. Come with me. I’ll show you what this is about, and it’s, it’s really eye-opening,’ ” she continued.

When asked by PEOPLE how she’s been handling the criticism, King shared that in her eyes, “anybody that’s criticizing it doesn’t really understand what is happening here.”
