Ramesh Rulaniya murder case: Two accused in police custody, five sent to judicial custody

Jaipur, October 17 (IANS). Seven people arrested in connection with the murder of businessman Ramesh Rulaniya were produced in the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate’s (ACJM) court on Friday amid tight security. Security arrangements remained tight in the court during the trial. The accused, who was arrested on October 10 for allegedly helping the shooters involved in the murder, was brought to court in handcuffs under the protection of Quick Response Team (QRT) commandos and policemen. After the hearing, Justice Kamakshi Meena of ACJM sent the two accused, Pawan Charan and Kishanlal Gurjar, to three-day police custody. Meanwhile, the other five accused have been sent to Parbatsar jail in judicial custody. Police sources say the Scorpion vehicle used in the murder has already been seized. Important clues emerged from initial custodial interrogation. A major breakthrough came when three of the four main shooters – Ganpat Gurjar, Dharmendra Gurjar and Mahesh Gurjar – were arrested from West Bengal on Thursday, an official said. The officer said there is a reward of Rs 1 lakh for each suspect. Attempts are being made to apprehend the fourth suspect. He said investigators believe more people may be involved in the conspiracy, and efforts are being made to arrest them. –IANS PSK Share this story Tags
