18 Lakh theft in the collector's premises in broad daylight, broke the glass of the car and performed the incident
There was a stir in the district collection site on Thursday night when unknown thieves broke the glass of the car parked before the register office and committed a startling incident to steal Rs 18 Lakh. Pramod Gupta, a resident of the Barhi town in the Karli district, reached the register office at Umaria Collectorate to register the land. The incident happened when the pramod was in the office for the registration process. Meanwhile, his car parked outside and the thieves took advantage of the opportunity and broke the car windows. According to Pramod, he has assets worth a total of Rs 18 Lakh, including Rs 8 Lakh Cash and Rs 10 Lakh Gold. The thieves ran away with the full amount. Once the information about the incident was received, there was chaos in the entire collector’s premises. Pramod Gupta, who suffered from this incident, was shocked and faint. He said he collected this amount with great difficulty to buy land and that this accident occurred during the final phase of registration. Once the information was received, the Kotwali police station reached the place and the investigation began. Balendu Sharma police said the policy team was sent to the place once the incident was reported. Evidence is collected after the scene is investigated. Police have registered a case against unknown thieves and began looking for potential suspects. The accused is expected to be caught soon on the basis of CCTV footage and other clues.
