Nbagr's recognized 10 new races in nine states

In an important achievement scientists from ICAR-National Animal Genesis Bureau (NBAGR), Karnal, identified and successfully registered 10 new indigenous livestock breeds. Newly recognized breeds include buffalo, donkey, pig, duck, sheep, one breed yak and two-two breeds and dogs. New registered breeds Four Buffalo (Assam) – Double purpose (milk and weight) Gaddi Dog (Himachal Pradesh) – Tribal Sentinel Changkhi Dog (Ladakh) – Livestock Guard Ladakh Donkey (Ladakh) – Transport Tripurarararara Duck (Tripura) – Eggs and Meat Production Chaicing (Uttarakh) Rigid Breeds and Meat Production Karakambi Pigs (Maharashtra) – Meat Production Crein Sheep (Rajasthan) – Long -distance Migrant Breed Ladakh Yak (Ladakh) – Multi -Purpose Livestock This Breede has been identified in Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Ladakh. With these supplements, the total number of indigenous livestock registers registered in India has now increased to 230 Nbagr is an important research institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), which is responsible for identifying, evaluation, characteristics, protection and use of livestock and poultry resources.
