Jagran correspondent, Udhampur. Jammu-Srinagar National Highway damaged by heavy rains is also set on the fourth day. The traffic police made clear on Friday that vehicles going from Jakhaini in Udhampur to Srinagar would not be allowed, as the repairs between Jakhaini and Chinaiaine were not yet complete. The traffic of Nagarota in Jammu to Reasi, Chanini, wife, Doda, Ramban, Banihal and Srinagar will be completely closed. The traffic police called on the passengers associated with the city of Katra and Udhampur to hold the photo identity card during the trip, so that their movement could be smooth if identified. Passengers are also advised to get information from the Twitter handle, Facebook page or TCU from the traffic police to know the latest road status. It is noteworthy that the highway was severely damaged due to heavy rains on Tuesday due to landslides and erosion in the country at more than half a dozen places in the UDHampur-Panain division. Thursday night, small vehicles were removed from the temporary route to deliver essential commodities. Small vehicles were moved on Friday, but due to the rain at night, the road had to be closed, causing a jam in Jakhaini. Meanwhile, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State Minister, took off from the highway on Friday, saying that efforts were being made to open the route for vehicles trapped with essential commodities. However, this possibility is less visible due to continuous rain affected. Nhai machinery is currently working on a war foot.
