India’s Maintenance Directorate (ED) on Wednesday, April 16, made an attack on EasemyTrip founder Nishant Pitti’s premises allegedly linked to the Mahadev online betting to a money laundering scheme, reports the PTI news agency. The searches were also performed on premises in Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Indore, Jaipur, Chennai and Sambalpur in Odisha, reported the news agency quoted by the officials. Mahadev Online Betting App scam According to Mint’s earlier report, the online savings platform Mahadev book was allegedly involved in a money laundering scheme, which spurred the ED to flag the platform for the orchestration of match fiction by his Mahadev and Khiladi apps. The app was reportedly involved in the washing of illegal funds worth more than £ 450, with estimates indicating that £ 5,000 was derived by “Hawala transactions”. Sourabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal were the two individuals from Dubai who claimed to be supervising the activities. The latest development on the matter was that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) named former Chhattisgarh chief Bhupesh Baghel as one of the accused in the Mahadev betting -app. According to an ANI report, as many as 21 people are mentioned in the Fir, who were made public in connection with the Mahadev Online Betting App case.
