However, passengers with e-tickets booked online may not be on board. If your waiting card is online, then Irctc automatically cancels it and gets your refund. The repayment amount is deposited into the account from which you paid at the time of booking. The repayment amount can take 3-4 days to arrive. If your Tatkal ticket is also in the waiting list and only until the day of the trip is confirmed, you cannot travel on the ticket. The ticket is automatically canceled by the railways on waiting tickets.
