Delhi government minister Ashish Sood said the crore of Rs 1668 was released to local bodies. In this, an amount of 1641.13 Crore was released to MCD, 16.18 Crore to NDMC and Rs 11.09 Crore to Delhi Cantt. Sood said that this financial allocation shows the government’s commitment to strengthen government’s local bodies and to provide essential services to the people by providing timely financial assistance to these bodies. It is noteworthy that the corporation needs an amount of Rs 800 crore each month to issue salary and pension. In such a situation, the two -month salary will be received by the corporation from the fund awarded from the Delhi government. Due to the special scheme regarding property, the income that comes to the corporation will not cause salary and pension within the next few months. The corporation must release a few funds allocated by the Delhi government in three installments. In this, in the first quarter, 25 percent of the funds must be issued in the first quarter and the fourth quarter of 25 percent from the allocated funds. Corporation staff also gets the advantage of having uniform government in Delhi and corporation.
