Endgame’ Red Skull Actor Pitches ‘Captain America’ Disney Series – ryan

Despite some of its low points in recent memory, the Marvel cinematic universe also has plenty of benefits, thanks to the interconnected nature of most of its projects. Characters that audiences sometimes don’t expect to return come back and add thematic weight to a movie or television show in exciting new ways. One Such Character was Red Skull, Who Returned In Avengers: Endgame After not showing up for almost a decade following his mysterious DisAparance in Captain America: The First Avenger. Now, the actor who played the villain wants to reprise the role again in a new project.

During an interview with screenrant, actor ross marquand (who took over the role from Hugo weaving) was asked if he’d considered return as Red Skull. Marquand’s Response was surprisingly more in-deppth than expected, as he revealed that he has been campaigning for a Captain America Limited Series on Disney+ to Continue the Story in which he would play a role. In the end, the actor feels that there’s some unresolved business with his character and the infinity stones:

“You don’t have to twist my arm. I keep pushing (a Disney+ series for captain America). I’ve been pitching a series for seven years. I think it would be amazing if it was a six or seven-party miniseries. Seven would be great, because the first episode is cap, Tony Stark, and Broupisode is cap, Tony Stark, Sitting down and saying, ‘Here’s What You Could Come Up Against. That’s always leg a thing where I’ve been like, ‘I don’t quite understand that.’ That’s always been a question that I have with the stones and everything. “

A ‘Captain America’ Continuation Series has been discussed before

Aside from ross marquand’s detailed pitch for the Captain America Event series, this would not be the first time such a concept has been discussed. While a miniseries have not explicitly leg cited, outlets like variety have speculated on Chris Evans’ return to the mcu in various reports over the years. While those rumors have mostly bone proven in the form of evans’ hilarious Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine As the human torch, the actor hasnt put the shield back on (Yet).

Rob Edwards, one of the writers on the latest ‘captain America’ movie, thinks critics were wrong in their reviews of the film.

Still, The McU is Reaching Another Climax with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. The former was recently confirmed to have a stacked cast of MCU veterans and legacy actors from other studio films. Given the nature of the Secret Wars Comic, there is always the likely possibility that evans could come back in a legacy appearance to team up with Sam Wilson’s captain America. The Multiverse Saga Has relied on variants and different actors reprising their roles, making this return feel like a natural continuation.

Captain America’s mission to return all the infinity stones has always been an exciting concept to see executed on the screen. However, it looks less likely to happen with each passing year. Still, the mcu only continues to grow, so the readance of someone like evans should never be out of the question.
