Rajgir, Bihar 12th Men Asia Cup Hockey Competition presents 2025

The historic city of Bihar Rajgir Hero Asia Cup is fully prepared to host 2025. The event was officially announced today after the signature of the sleeve between Hockey India and Bihar State Sports Authority was signed. This prestigious tournament will be held at the Rajgir Hockey Stadium from August 29 to September 7. This is the second international sports competition hosted by Rajgir. Earlier in November 2024, the Women’s Asian Champions trophy was held successfully, in which India won the winner title. According to the information, eight teams will take part in the 12th issue of the Continental tournament. These include India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China and Malaysia. The remaining two teams will secure their place by the AHF Cup, which is a qualifying tournament. South Korea was the most successful team in Men’s Asian Cup history. Who won five titles (1994, 1999, 2009, 2013 and 2022). This is followed by India (2003, 2007 and 2017) and Pakistan (1982, 1985 and 1989), who won the tournament three times. The Asia Cup 2205 Bihar (1) Hero Asia Cup will be a qualifying opportunity for the 2026 FIH -Manshockey World Championships held in Rajgir Belgium and the Netherlands. The winner of this tournament gets direct entry into the World Cup, which will make the competition even more exciting, as all the teams will perform their best to lift the trophy and secure their qualifications. Additional general secretary of the Department of Sport of Bihar, dr. B. Rajendra, said: “It is a matter of pride for our state to host the Hero Asia Cup in Rajgir and we are fully committed to the smooth operation of the tournament.” Recently, Rajgir Hockey Stadium developed is proof of the growing sports infrastructure of Bihar. And we are pleased to welcome top teams from all over Asia. This event will not only increase Bihar’s reputation in international sports, but will also inspire new hockey players from this region.
