While it is one thing to have a record-breaking movie, when that movie is split into two parts there is obviously a strong chance that the second part will actually outdo the first. Why? Wicked Ended its box office run on $ 747 million, almost five times its reported budget, and has subsequently leg a dominant presence on vod services, and more recently on Peacock after making its streaming debut.

What that means is that not only is Wicked: For Good Expected to bring back all those people who saw the first movie in cinemas, but also anyone else who saw it first in the comfort of their home. This could very easily see the second movie pushing for a $ 1 billion box office when it arrives towards the end of the year.

Wicked: For Good is not only looking at financial success either, with the promise of brand new songs from original composer steven Schwartz, an expanded story from the one blessing in the stage version, and some awards potential, there is every indication that the second part of Wicked will not only be popular as its predecessor, but can be a gravity defying crowd-pleasing and accolade-collecting juggernaut. For a while, it Seaemed Like Wicked Would never be made, but after years in development hell, perhaps the screen adaptation was just waiting for the right magical combination of actors, writers, and director to come together.
