The Bihar police have strictly sharpened the rules of evidence of witnesses, coordination and system, the muscles began to monitor

As an important step to accelerate criminal cases and reduce awaiting business, Bihar police headquarters have implemented a strict new policy: Despite summons, the salary of policemen not present in court for testimony will be stopped. Director of General of the Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar said this decision was made to ensure timely evidence, especially government witnesses, whose absence often delayed court proceedings. The move aims to accelerate cases and combat the incidents of private witnesses due to long delays. A centralized database is developed to organize the process. This will include details of all government witnesses of investigators and doctors to retired or transferred staff involved in criminal cases. Now digitally summons will be issued via a newly created website, which will ensure that those who have gone to other districts or retired will also receive a notice to appear in court. The police department will also accept the responsibility of providing transport and providing the necessary assistance to ensure the presence of government witnesses in court. In recent months, there has been a significant improvement in the testimony of the court, the number of private witnesses present in criminal cases for evidence has doubled. New measures are expected to further increase the effectiveness of the legal system in the state. Share this story -tags
