Alaskan Bush People’s Rain Brown Arrested Alongside Husband – ryan

Alaskan Bush People star Rain Brown and her husband, Josiah Lortonhave found themselves in legal trouble.

According to court records viewed by Us Weeklythe couple were arrested and booked into the Okanogan County jail in Washington State on Friday, April 11. (In Touch was first to report the news.)

Brown, 22, who was booked under her full legal name Merry Christmas Kathryn Raindrop Brownwas charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree malicious mischief and second-degree criminal trespass.

As for Lorton, he was only charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree malicious mischief.

Further details of the incident that led to the arrests have not been made available publicly. Us has reached out to police for comment.

Court records show the pair were released on Monday, April 14, on their own recognizance. Us has also reached out to the couple for comment.

Viewers first met Brown and her family on The Discovery Channel series Alaskan Bush People, which followed their lives in the wilderness as they often went months without seeing an outsider.

“Deep in the wilderness lives a family who, for the last thirty years, has lived in the wild,” The Discovery Channel said in a show synopsis. “For this family, sharing their front yard with some of the world’s most dangerous animals is just part of life.”

When the show premiered in 2014, Brown was 11 years old. Ultimately, the series ran for 14 seasons before it came to an end in December 2022.

Once cameras wrapped, Brown confirmed she was dating Lorton when she shared a PDA photo via Instagram in December 2023.

“Cats outta the bag you guys! 😆💘,” she wrote at the time. “Ladies and gents my heart is TAKEN🥰 I had hopes that I would be able to do a grand reveal but the internet is a very fast place heehee.”

The couple later confirmed they were married in a January social media post. “Baby, this is our world now 😘😎,” Brown shared via Instagram. “Yes. I’m married, y’all.”

While Lorton is not active on Instagram, his wife hasn’t been shy about sharing how much she loves her partner.

One month before her arrest, Brown posted a fan photo that held special meaning to her.
