The Palestinian factions set 3 conditions for agreeing to disarm them in Gaza
Around the clock – A report by the Hebrew newspaper “Israel Hume” reported that representatives of the Palestinian factions gathered in Beirut have placed 3 major demands to agree to disarmament.
The representatives of the factions formulated a joint document that considered that the weapon was a “red line”. According to the report, the preliminary demands for disarmament are a comprehensive ceasefire, the full withdrawal from Gaza, and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
The newspaper added, “Senior officials in these Palestinian organizations recently informed the Egyptian and Qatari intermediaries, that any discussion about the idea of disarmament in Gaza is categorically rejected, especially in the absence of a ceasefire in Gaza and the complete withdrawal of the Israeli army.
The political offices of 13 Palestinian organizations, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front, formulated a special document on this issue.
After the meeting of the representatives of the organizations in Beirut, “it was agreed to send an official and conclusive message to the brokers that the organizations will not give up their weapons, but it may begin to discuss this issue if Israel withdrew completely from the Gaza Strip, and a comprehensive ceasefire has been applied, and discussions began to establish a Palestinian state” according to the report.
In this case, “the organizations will be ready to discuss the merging of the military branches into the institutions of the Palestinian state,” according to the report.
In recent weeks, in Israel and the United States, calls for disarmament from Gaza have increased, and reports have spoken of repeated offers made to prominent figures from Hamas who survived Gaza to leave the Strip.
Reports stated that the senior Hamas leaders in Gaza rejected the offers again, and these are mostly the leading leaders of the military wing who have not yet been liquidated: Muhammad al -Sinwar (the head of the pavilion), and Izz al -Din al -Haddad (his deputy), and Muhammad Shabana (the commander of the Rafah Brigade in the wing).
