Woman Attempts To Take a Bath, but She Has Three Labradors – ryan
In a viral TikTok video, a dog owner tries taking a relaxing bath by herself, but she’s soon reminded of the hilarious reason why this is not possible, and internet users can’t cope with it.
The clipshared in February under the username @thatboatmiss, shows the poster trying to read a book in her bathtub, when not one, but three Labrador retrievers, storm into the bathroom, demanding attention.
“When you try to take a bath in peace, but you have labs,” reads layover text in the clip, as the three pups, a black one, a yellow one, and a chocolate one, keep staring at the poster, refusing to give her some alone time.
Labrador retrievers are known for being loving and affectionate, so much so that they’re actually quite high on the list of most clingy dog breeds.
This list includes Italian greyhounds, Chihuahuas, golden retrievers, Labrador retrievers, Yorkshire terriers, pugs, French bulldogs, English bulldogs, and Papillons, according to Veterinary Healthcare Associates.
Clinginess in dogs is not only due to their breed. It can be caused by illness or aging, or it may be a learned behavior, for example if you give them a little treat every time they follow you around the kitchen, according to Pet MD.
However, it can also be a symptom of stress or anxiety, or even worse of separation anxiety. Dogs who suffer from separation anxiety will also show other signs, like incessant whining and destructive behavior when they’re alone.
If you suspect your dog might be suffering from separation anxiety, it’s important that you contact your veterinarian to discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment.
If your dog is just clingy and won’t leave you alone, there are things you can do to help them become more independent and gain your freedom back from them.
Increasing their exercise time and making sure they receive enough mental stimulation is essential. Creating a special space just for them, with their favorite bed and toys can also help.
Desensitizing them to your movements will also make them less likely to follow you around the house every single time you stand up.

The video quickly went viral on social media and it has so far received over 1.5 million views and 190,900 likes on the platform.
One user, Amandamustain, commented: “They look so confused, yet concerned.”
Kibbix said: “Mine tries to join me. I shouldn’t say try… he insists. He gets to cry outside the door now.”
Franciskovich added: “They think you’re lying in your water bowl.”
