Bhagalpur News: Vikramashila -Catria Rail Bridge Project Get The Green Signal, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone - Bhagalpur New Rail Bridge over ganga to increase connectivity
A double -line tracking bridge is being built on the Ganges River from Vikramshila to Qataria in Bhagalpur. This bridge, built at a cost of Rs 1153 crore, will be completed in three years. With the erection of this bridge, direct train service will be available from Vikramshila to Navagachia, which saves three hours. It will be the fifth rail bridge in Bihar and will be useful in the development of the region. Vikramashila Cataria Rail Bridge Project received the green signal, and the Premier Modi will lay the foundation of the groundstone Jagran, Bhagalpur. The preparations for the construction of Double Line Rail Bridge on the Ganges River from Vikramshila to Qataria took a big step towards the development of Bhagalpur. The tender for this very expected project has been completed and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon be the ground stone. The responsibility of this project was entrusted by the Ministry of Railways to Indian Railway Construction Company Limited (IRCON). This railway bridge, built near Bateshwar Place, will be about 4 km long and 13 meters wide. The cost of the project is R1,153 crore and is targeted to be completed within three years. The total cost of the entire project is Rs 2,178.38 crore. With the construction of this bridge, Trains Navagachiya will be able to reach Navagachiya via Vikramshila, which saves about three hours. While sharing information about the project on X, Godda MP Nishikant Dubey said that the bridge would connect its villages Vikramashila and Bhawanipur via Doghar-Goddda. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Minister of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Right now, there are large bridges such as Vikramshila Setu, its parallel construction bridge, Sultanganj-aguwani bridge and Vijay Ghat Bridge on the Ganges River in Bhagalpur. Now this new rail bridge is the first of Bhagalpur and the fifth rail bridge in Bihar. More than two hundred hectares of land are obtained for this new double railway line 26.23 km long. According to railway officials, most of the bridge is in the Ganges River area, and there will be no problems with land acquisition. The project was included in the budget for the year 2016-17, but now it is tangible. The bridge will be built in Y -size, so that rail connection will be possible with Cutteria and Navagachia in the north and Vikramashila in the south. This project will not only reinforce the connection between North and South Bihar, but will also be able to establish direct rail connection in Bhagalpur from Kosi, Seemanchal, Anga and Jharkhand areas. This bridge will also be an alternative railway for the northeastern states. After completing the project, it will be possible to operate new trains from Bhagalpur, which will provide a better comfort and a sharp destination for passengers. This bridge will open a new door for the economic and social development of the entire region.
