Out of a total of 1.20 crore houses, the construction of 94 lakhs was completed. The government also provides housing to the slums. Under Pmay utility, there was a 21-fold investment of 8 Lakh Crore, including central help of Rs 2 Lakh Crore. A central amount of 1.64 lakh crore is released under the scheme, which is ten times more than the previous schemes. A 58.868 crore interest subsidy was released for 25 lakh beneficiaries, which are 2616 times more than the previous schemes. For the first time in the country, interest subsidy of 12 thousand 885 crore was provided to 6 Lakh MIG beneficiaries. 93 Lakh houses are either in the name of women or in joint ownership.
