Why Vasant Panchami is so special

Dharm Vasant Panchami is celebrated this festival so much, especially by Hindus, especially in the Indian subcontinent, especially in India and Nepal. In the southern states it is called Sri Panchami. It is known as “Hari Raya Saraswati” (The Great Day of Saraswati) under the Hindus of Bali Island and Indonesia. People in the Punjab region celebrate Vasant Panchami carrying yellow turban. There is also a tradition of flying kites there on this day. Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the founder of the Sikh Empire, celebrated Vasant Panchami as a social event in the Gurdwaras. In 1825 AD he gave Rs 2000 to Harmandar Sahib Gurdwara, Amritsar, so that offers could be distributed there. Many families in the country sit with their children on this day and encourage them to write the first letter from their fingers. It is celebrated as a start.
