10 years prison reward for Depok DPRD members who abuse ABG

Jakarta – The case of sexual abuse of a minor by a member of the Depok DPRD, Rudy Kurniawan, has entered the verdict hearing. Rudy was sentenced to 10 years in prison. “On trial, one, declare that the Accused Rudy Kurniawan has been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing no crime by intentionally perpetrating a ruse, persuading a child to have sexual intercourse with him as stated in the indictment,” said the chief judge at the Depok District Court, Wednesday (202/1510). With the stipulation that if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced by imprisonment for 3 months,” he said. There are things that lighten Rudy’s sentence. Namely, Rudy was considered polite during the trial. “The aggravating situation is that the defendant is a member of the Depok City DPRD who should set an example and act as a representative of the people of Depok City,” he said. It is also said that the accused was not honest about his actions and repeatedly committed sexual abuse. Previously, a member of the Depok DPRD was reported for allegedly molesting a 15-year-old child. The victim’s parents reported the incident to the police. The alleged sexual abuse took place on Friday (12/7/2024) at 19:30 WIB. The sexual abuse took place in the car while the two were filling up petrol at a petrol station in Cimanggis. “The chronology itself is that the perpetrator committed sexual abuse and had sexual intercourse with the victim. But this is only an allegation, so we are still investigating the report that was given to us,” he said. The victim apparently knew the perpetrator after his parents were introduced to him. At that point, the victim’s mother introduced the victim to the notified party with the intention of getting him a school. “If the parents (victims) are suspected of being a successful team, yes, the successful team is of the alleged perpetrator,” he said.
