16.397 People who died in accidents due to wearing not seat belt

According to a report released by the Ministry of Auto News Desk, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH), 16,397 people lost their lives in road accidents in 2021, of which 8,438 drivers and the remaining 7.959 were passengers. The report entitled ‘Road Accidents in India-2011’ said that 46,593 people died in 2021 because they did not wear helmets in road accidents, of which 32.877 drivers and 13.716 were passengers. The report said that in 2021 a total of 4,12,432 road accidents occurred, in which 1,53,972 people died and 3,84,448 people were injured. According to the report, 93,763 people were injured in 2021 because they did not wear helmets and 39.231 people were injured due to the sitting belts. Explain that safety equipment such as helmet and seat belts protects from deadly and serious injuries in road accidents. Therefore, according to the existing traffic rules, there are compulsory seat belt and helmet for cyclists in cars. If someone is found to violate these rules, the police can cut their challenge. According to the report, Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh surpassed in case of deaths in road accidents at national level. Of the total deaths, 15.2 percent of cases were registered only in Uttar Pradesh. In the year 2020, Uttar Pradesh was at the top in case of deaths in road accidents. According to the report, Uttar Pradesh is followed in the year 2021 by Tamil Nadu (9.4 percent), Maharashtra (7.3 percent) and Rajasthan (6.8 percent). According to the report, about 8.2 percent of total accidents on national highways were due to the management of alcohol, in the wrong direction, crossing the wrong direction, crossing the red light and using cell phones. ‘Therefore, it is suggested to prevent all these mistakes from making and traveling safely.
