16 Opposition Parties in Assam claimed a quick investigation into the death of Zubeen Garg
Guwahati, October 3 (IANS). 16 Opposition parties in Assam held a joint meeting in Guwahati. During this time, a quick and judicial inquiry was requested under the supervision of the mysterious death of the famous singer and cultural symbol Zubeen Garg. The meeting was held led by Raizor Dal Mla Akhil Gogoi. Zubeen Garg died of drowning on September 19 during scuba diving in Singapore, where he will perform at the North East Indian festival. Singapore police declared the reason for drowning, but a second postmortem was carried out in Assam. Gogoi said: “All parties unanimously investigated the murder of Zubeen, investigating financial allegations on festival organizers and a meeting of all parties. On October 19, there will be a state-wide rally and tribute program with artists and citizens.” CPI -M MLA Manoranjan Talukdar insisted: ‘A quick investigation must be conducted within 90 days under the supervision of the Supreme Court, otherwise it will not be considered fair. The government is distracting attention. ‘ Congressional Leader Abdul Khalik said: “There must be a quick investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court on the family’s claim, including economic aspects. Public tribute will be held on October 19.” Ram Narayan Singh, president of Shiv Sena Assam unit, claimed: “The government is negligent in dealing with the body. We will make the demands in the Supreme Court.” This is the first joint opposition front, which indicates protests on October 19.
