Akasa Airlines has booked a total of six pairs of flight slots in a week between Darbhanga and Delhi. IndiGo has 7 pairs of flights, SpiceJet has 14 and Air India Express has 12 pairs of flights. For Bengaluru, Akasa took five slots and Air India Express took seven slots. 12 pairs of Akasa flights and seven pairs of Indigo and SpiceJet flight slots were found between Darbhanga and Mumbai. Indigo has taken slots for seven pairs of flights between Kolkata and Hyderabad. Most of the flights are between Darbhanga and Delhi air route. Air India gets new slots for Darbhanga to Delhi and Bengaluru. According to the information, Air India Express has booked three new slots for direct flight service between Darbhanga Airport to Delhi and Bengaluru. These flights will be started after the winter schedule is implemented. According to the Airport Authority, in view of the increasing crowd of passengers and flights, all other necessary things including passenger amenities, terminal building, parking security arrangements are being streamlined. It is noteworthy that Darbhanga Airport was started under the UDAN scheme on November 8, 2020. Currently, the waiting hours for flight operations from here are 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening, that is eight hours. Airplanes are not allowed to take night flights from here after 17:00.
