For the first time, Chahal openly expressed his spiritual condition about divorce of his ex -wife and social media influencer Dhanashree Verma. He said that he could sleep about 2 hours for about 40 days and that he had to experience spiritual disturbance for the rest of the time. Chahal said, many times I felt it would be better to finish everything. I began to think of ending my life. But my friends took me out of that darkness. ‘Chahal was accused of fraud during the divorce process, Chahal faced many allegations, especially of fraud. Chahal talked about this and said, ‘People call me a fraudster, while never breaking anyone’s heart. I have two sisters and I always respected women. Just because my name is associated with a woman does not mean that I am guilty. ‘Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree separated Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma through a virtual dance class, where Dhanashree started teaching. Gradually, the friendship between the two increased and then the relationship turned into love. Both were married in December 2020, but over time they began to grow the distance between them. Both were divorced in March 2025.
