Broadway cares2025 Broadly Backwards Concert increases a record amount
The star-studded evening favored Broadway Cares and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community center.
Broadway backwardsthe annual benefit concert in celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community via songs from the musical theater, played Broadway’s Gershwin Theater, current home of EvilMarch 10.
The show raised a record-breaking $ 1,111,788 to benefit Broadway Cares and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community center in New York. The total of 2025 achieved the record set last year by more than $ 194,000. The annual event for one night, only by Broadway Cares. Harrison Ghee (Some like it is hot), Sydney James Harcourt (Cats: “The Jellicle Ball”), Tony nominated Dorian Harewood (The notebook), Manu Narayan (Company), Jessica Phillips (Redwood), Conrad Savings (Oh, Mary!), and Ryan Vasquez (The notebook), as well as Tituss Burgess (Oh, Mary!), Tony winner only cariou (Sweeney Todd), Bradley Dean (Redwood), Dionne Figgins (A wonderful world: The Louis Armstrong Music), Jordan Fisher (Urinetown), Lydia Gaston (The king and I), Tony nominated Joshua Henry (In the forest), Tony winner Gregory Jbara (Billy Elliott: The Musical), Adam Lambert (Cabaret), Tiffany mann (Urinetown), Tony winner Kelli O’hara (Days of wine and roses), Preston Perez (A beautiful noise, the Neil Diamond Musical), Kate (he) tsuriharatani (Hunting ted small pill), Remi Tuckman (Drag: The musical), and Joy Woods (Gypsy).
What started as a small, grassroots concert that acted in the center in 2006 has grown into a very expected opportunity. In his previous 18 issues, Broadway backwards raised more than $ 7.9 million for Broadway Care and the center. Creator Robert Bartley Returnd to direct and choreograph the show. Ted Arthur and Mary-Mitchell Campbell joined him as music supervisors, Nicholas Connors and Nick Wilders as music directors, and Chris Gurr as fellow music director. Amanda Lamotte joined as a choreographer, and Adam Roberts returned as a choreographer and fellow director. Arc’s Mark Brandon and Jarrett Reiche served as casting consultants.
Broadway Cares is one of the country’s leading operating-based, non-profit AIDS fundraising and awards organizations. Using the talents, resources and generosity of the US theater community, Broadway Cares has raised more than $ 300 million since 1988 for essential services for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical diseases in the United States.
