In 1988, without any fashion design studies or experience, Mena started selling simple cotton suit from home. They did not have money, nor a bank account. Biba’s annual earnings are about 700 crores today. Mena says that good quality, real price and time delivery is the secret of her success. Biba also made her place in Bollywood. In 2004, it began to design clothes for films, such as ‘to Tum Jaano to Hum’, ‘Hustle’ and ‘Baghban’. In these films, Biba’s clothing made the brand more famous. In 2015, Biba received the ‘Best Women’s Ethnic True Brand’ award and Mena was awarded the ‘Apex Lifetime Achievement Award’ by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI).
