A baby goat named George became an overnight sensation after a TikTok video featuring him with his temporary caretaker, Bri, went viral.
The little LaMancha goat, affectionately known as Georgie, has captured hearts ever since Bri posted a now-viral clip about watching the goats while her parents, who own Georgie and a handful of other farm animals, are on vacation.
What started as a funny little update quickly turned into a full-on fan following, with people becoming deeply invested in Georgie’s journey — especially since he’s been struggling to fit in with his new goat family.
“I was not the primary babysitter,” Bri clarifies exclusively to PEOPLE. “That was my younger brother. He kept him alive most of the time. But when he was off to work, I basically just went over and did the feeds in between.”
Her parents had recently acquired Georgie from an auction, where they originally went to buy more chickens. “They saw that there was this little tiny baby, all alone in the cage. He still had his umbilical cord attached,” Bri says.
“They said he was 4 days old, although we think he might have been younger, like 1 or 2 days old,” she continues. Bri’s mom couldn’t leave him behind, so she bid on him and took him home, assuming their existing goat, Pinda, would take him in as her own. But Pinda had other plans.

“She hates him,” Bri notes. “The idea is we just keep him alive and friendly until he gets bigger, then she might not go after him. They might be more equals. That’s the goal.” Until then, Georgie gets supervised playtime with Pinda’s own baby, Chrissy.
The two kids, born just days apart, get along well, though they have very different personalities. “Chrissy doesn’t like humans that much. She would rather be with the goats. She follows Pinda around, constantly making sure she’s safe,” Bri explains.
As for Georgie, he “could not care less about any other goat,” Bri says. “He just wants to hang out with whatever human is out there. He wants to be on your lap, eat your pants … he just wants to be in your space.”
Despite his rocky start, Georgie’s TikTok fans are hopeful he’ll eventually be accepted by the little herd. He’s growing fast, but one thing that won’t change — and has been the talk of TikTok — are his ears.
“They told us that was his breed,” Bri explains. “When we looked it up from the TikTok comments, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, he is a LaMancha!’ They have little internal ears. It looks like the inside of a dog’s ear, but with nothing on the outside.”

While it’s been a pleasure for Bri to babysit Georgie and the other goats, when asked if she would consider having one of her own, she respectfully declines. “They are so much work, I’d argue they’re more work than puppies,” she admits. “But I would definitely babysit Georgie again, for sure.”
As for her parents, they’re already thinking about their next addition.
“They really would like a mini cow,” Bri says. “But they are not farmers. They’re just doing this because it’s so cool. They’re empty nesters, and this is their dream.”
