Exploding cars caught at Uttarakhand border arrested three youths
A quiet evening near the Himachal-Uttarakhand border suddenly became tense when police in Tuni stopped an altar with a major consignment of illegal explosives. Once the vehicle was about to enter Himachal Pradesh, the vigilance Uttarakhand police officers stopped it during a regular investigation campaign and repaired 125 kg of illegal dynamite in it. This seizure, which was fed near the Tuni area in the Dehradun district, was part of a special campaign launched with a view to the upcoming Panchayat election in Uttarakhand. Police teams were deployed in all sensitive places, especially interstate boundaries, to prevent illegal activities, under strict security instructions issued by the senior Superintendent of Dehradun police. The car with Himachal Pradesh registration number (HP 09C 9788) was discontinued. In the search, the authorities filled five coaches with dynamite at professional level, two cans of explosion cap, a roll of red electric wire and a bundle of air blue lont cord. None of the three people in the vehicle could show a valid document to carry explosive material. Those arrested were identified as Rohit, resident of Ronhat of Shillai (Syrmaur district), Rinku, resident of Balg Village of Theog (Shimla District) and Sunil, a resident of the Sedoli village Kotkhai (Shimla district). A case was registered against the three under the relevant divisions of the Explosions Act, 1884 at the Tuni police station. Vinay Mittal, Sho of the Tuni police station, said: “The accused could not have any legal documents of explosives that take with them. Their vehicle was stopped just before he entered Himachal Pradesh. Investigation was looking for the source of the material and its purpose.” Share this story -tags
