Film made of donation of 5 lakh farmers

You must have heard of the white revolution, which has changed the lives of farmers in India. In 1976, a film inspired by this white revolution in the Indian film. This film by Shyam Benegal is based on Dr. Rao, who is trying to open a cooperative dairy in the Kheda district Gujarat so that the residents can benefit. However, making this film was not easy. 10 Lakh calls were needed to make a movie. For this, donations of 5 Lakh farmers were started. 2-2 rupees were taken from each farmer. In this way, 10 lakh calls gathered. However, it took months to deposit so much money. On the one hand, donations for the film were lifted, on the other hand the work to choose actors in Mumbai started. It was the first film in the country produced by Crowdfunding. At the release, farmers from all over the truck saw their films. It was also a hit at the box office. Years later, the film Heritage Foundation led by Shivendra Singh Dungarpur ‘Restore the Manthan film. This issue of the film was released in the 77th ‘Cannes Film Festival’ in 2024 and was released on June 1, 2024 in 50 cities across the country. It was the first time an Indian film was re -released in 50 cities of the country after being ‘Ristore’.
