Himachal Pradesh: inauguration of the radio station in Puh, Kinnaur, emphasis on the development of marginal areas

Kinnraur, April 20 (IANS). Surya Command General Officer Commander-to-Chief Luitenant-General Anindya Sengupta inaugurated a community radio station in the Poh Army Camp in the Kinnraur district of Himachal Pradesh. This radio station was started with the aim of connecting people from dozens of Panchayats in the PUH region that borders China with information, culture, entertainment and regional activities. This initiative is especially important to ensure the distribution of information during network problems in marginal areas. Lieutenant General Sengupta said during the inauguration ceremony that the main purpose of this radio station is to make the people of the border areas aware of important information, music, local culture and civilization. This station will not only be a way of entertainment, but will also become an effective medium to distribute the activities and information of the region during the lack of network in the emergency. This radio station will keep the people of marginal areas associated with their culture and civilization, and also update it with information. In remote areas such as POH, where the means of communication are limited, this station will be a blessing to local communities. On this occasion, Lieutenant General Sengupta also recently named a meeting with the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. The meeting was also attended by the general officer who has Lieutenant General DG Mishra and Trai Pix Brigade commander Brigadier Anurag Pandey. The most important agenda of the meeting was to promote civil monetary collaboration in Himachal Pradesh, the development of strategic infrastructure, the velocity of developmental works in border areas and to increase the possibilities of tourism. The meeting further emphasizes the coordination between the Indian Army and the State Administration. Given the geographical and strategic status of Himachal Pradesh, the Indian army plays an important role in border safety, national defense and disaster management.
