Police have started a verification campaign of licensed weapons and Cartridges in various police stations of Motihari to prevent the use of illegal weapons in the upcoming elections in Bihar. A large number of licensees reach the city police station and verify their weapons and cartridges and deposit them. Sadar Sdpo Dilip Kumar said: “All people must confirm their weapons. Those who have not yet verified by September 19. Thereafter, legal action will be taken against those who will be found weapons.” He said people were already informed about this. So far, 30 percent of the weapons have been deposited. After September 19, the report in question will be sent to the higher officials. He said that this verification was made mandatory by the government’s order before the meeting of the meeting. Those who have a weapons license will have to go to the police station of their weapons and related documents. This step was taken to maintain peace and safety during the election. On September 13, a joint team of police and special workforce (STF) attacked the Shahpur police station in the Bhojpur district and recovered several illegal weapons, including AK-47. Two people were also arrested in this case. Police said they received secret information, after which the attacks were recovered and weapons were recovered. Police and the STF team got a loaded AK-47 rifle, a gun, two loaded Desi-Pistols, a Desi Katta, a Desi Thernet (carbon-like texture), a revolver, 76 cartridges and five magazines.
