The people present at the spot immediately admitted him to the nearest private hospital from where the doctors referred him to PGI, Chandigarh seeing his critical condition. Investigating officer ASI Baljeet Singh said the girl who jumped from the roof of the entrance gate of the bus stand has been identified as Sonia (21), resident of Chhadbad village. According to the information, Sonia works as a tailor and on Friday afternoon suddenly climbed onto the roof of the bus stand and jumped off. Police said after the incident, the girl’s parents were informed and called, after which she was sent to PGI for treatment. Currently, the condition of the girl is said to be critical and she is unconscious. ASI Baljeet Singh said that the statement of the girl will be recorded only after she regains consciousness, only after which it will be clear why she took such a step. Currently, the police are investigating based on CCTV footage and statements from eyewitnesses.
