22nd Shangri-La dialog started in Singapore
Beijing, May 31 (IANS). The 22nd Shangri-LA dialog started in Singapore on May 30, including more than 550 politicians, defense officers, experts and scholars from more than 40 countries and regions. The dialogue was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, eastern Timor President Jose Ramos-Horta, US Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth, the European Union’s foreign affairs and high representative Kaya Kalas. Hu Kangfing, Vice President of the National Defense University of the People’s Liberation Army, led the Chinese delegation to participate in the dialogue and attend the third special meeting of ‘Asia-Pacific Region on May 31. Let us know that Shangri-LA dialog was founded in 2002 and is named after the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore, where this dialogue is held every year. This year’s dialogue runs until June 1st.
