25 percent of the medical tourists visiting India comes to Tamil Nadu, this is a matter of pride: Minister of Health M. Subramaniam

Chennai, September 20 (IANS). Tamil Nadu Minister of Health and Public Welfare M. Subramaniam inaugurated the state of the -Aarts Heart Treatment Center at a cost of Rs 2.5 Crore at Meridian Hospital in Jawaharlal Ring Road in Kolathur, Chennai. On this occasion, Subramaniam said it was a matter of pride that 25 percent of medical tourists visiting India come to Tamil Nadu. He said in his speech that although the operation of the medical field in Tamil Nadu is good, people can only be provided with medical services with the cooperation of private hospitals. Subramaniam said the 24 -hour catlaboratory was currently opened in this hospital. A heart treatment center is established for the people of northern Chennai. All types of cardiovascular drugs such as balloon -angioplastics, coronary angiography, FFR, ivus, OCD, etcectomy, IVL, pacemaker implant and electrophiziology are available. He said the central government said that 25 percent of medical tourists coming to India are currently coming to Tamil Nadu. Earlier, people from India had to go abroad for treatment, but now people are coming from more than 70 countries through medical tourism to India. 25 percent of this comes to Tamil Nadu. M. Subramaniam said that we provide medical services to people in the same way without any interruption by programs such as Health Care Stalin, Life Savings 48 programs brought by the government of Tamil Nadu. The amount of one lakh calls that the government has given for treatment within 48 hours of the accident is now employed and implemented as one lakh calls. In addition, an incentive of 5 thousand rupees is given to those who save the injured in the accident and reach the hospital. He said that everyone should be launched to the people of North Chennai in collaboration with the government’s insurance scheme in this hospital.
