25% seats in private schools for economically weaker students; Online applications will start soon

The Uttar Pradesh Department of Education, Free and Compulsory Education of Children (RTE) Act is ready to provide better access to children of economically poor and disadvantaged background in private schools. By this law, classes 1 in all private schools and 25 percent seats in pre-primary classes will be reserved for eligible children. Each district will be targeted according to 25 percent of the total seats of its private schools. Last year, very few applications were received in districts such as Bahraich, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Kannaauj and Shravasti, which led to less than 600 access to the children. To increase participation this year, the education department has mapped all private schools in each district, which increased the options available on the RTE portal. Officials hope that more children will benefit from timely awareness campaign and a well -organized application system and that no seat will remain vacant. The application process is completely online and will begin in the last week of November or the first week of December. Share this story -tags
