252 teams participate in the CBSE National Swimming Competition

The CBSE National Swimming Competition (boys) started under the University Campus School at Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU) on Wednesday. A spokesman for the MDU said: “252 teams and 614 participants from nine regions of India and abroad take part in this five -day event. 30 teams and 90 players from CBSE schools in Dubai, Qatar and Oman participated in the competition.” Mdu Vice -Chancellor Professor Rajbir Singh served the inauguration ceremony. He urged the participants to give their best. He emphasized the university’s commitment to balanced development of education and sports, saying that such opportunities not only teach competition but also promote teamwork and sportsmanship. The famous swimmer and Rio Olympic representative, Shivani Qataria, were the main guests during the inauguration ceremony. Paralympic Himanshu Nandal, the leading guest, inspired the players, saying that ongoing efforts, despite the challenges, are the key to success. Director of the University Campus School, prof. Sunita Saini, gave a welcome speech and greeted the players and guests. On the first day, Suhag, the dynasty of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, finished first in the 1500 meter freestyle in the Under-19 category, while Dakshit of Bal Bharti Public School, Pitampura and Sranjan Nath of DPS North finished third.
