After being rolled out on the New York Times for the first time in June 2023, Connections emerged as a very popular category-fitting puzzle. The purpose of this unique game is to explore a ‘general thread’ between words. A player is provided with 16 words, and the purpose is to categorize it into four groups of four. The categories of these groups can be based on different topics. While playing this game, a participant may face a difficult situation in which some words can fit in more than one particular group.
