29-year-old Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky dies, Pragyananda expresses grief
New Delhi, October 21 (IANS). American grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky left the world at the age of just 29. Indian Grandmaster R. Pragyananda expressed grief over the demise of Naroditsky. R. Praggnanand expressed grief over the passing of Daniel Naroditsky on the social media platform ‘X’ and wrote: “I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Danya. Whenever I would log on to chess.com, I would see her challenge. It is hard to believe that I will not be able to see it anymore. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.” Naroditsky was found dead at his home in San Jose, California earlier this week. His family gave this information. According to a report by Marca, authorities have not yet released an official cause of death, but initial reports raise questions about the circumstances of the death. Naroditsky achieved the title of FIDE Master in the year 2007. He won the Under-12 category of the World Youth Chess Championship. This was followed by joint second place in the 2010 US Open. He became an International Master in the year 2011. He won the American Junior Championship in the year 2013. In the same year, Naroditsky achieved the title of Grandmaster. Naroditsky’s highest FIDE Classic rating was 2647 in May 2017. Naroditsky has written several books on chess, the first of which was “Mastering Positional Chess”. Naroditsky started writing this book at the age of 10. When he was only 14 years old, the book was published. Naroditsky has appeared regularly as a commentator at major chess events, most notably on Chess.com. Naroditsky also runs Twitch and YouTube channels.
