Well, Merry Christmas for us! Mj the musical Slide a special gift under our tree today: a new video of the Broadway role distribution that the Jackson 5 version of “Santa Claus is coming to Town”.

Although the song is most associated with the Jackson 5, the tune was actually written in 1934 by Tin Pan Alley Songwriters J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie. The song is a quick holiday standard and is recorded by Bing Crosby, the Andrews Sisters, The Four Seasons and The Supremes. The Jackson 5 gave it a turn on their 1970 Jackson 5 Christmas album.
