  • Kendra Wilkinson said she tried a weight-loss drug but stopped after one injection
  • The former Playboy star said she’s heard too many “horror stories” about side effects and health complications from the medication
  • She noted that she’s okay with gaining a little weight

Kendra Wilkinson is one and done with taking weight-loss medications.

On April 15, the former Playboy star, 39, posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories and revealed that she tried the trendy injections but only lasted one week before changing her mind.

“I started the weight-loss shots,” she wrote. “Only did one. Nevermind. Throwing away!!”

The following day, Wilkinson explained her decision to quit the medication.

“A lot of you ask why I threw away the shots,” she wrote. “I’m actually ok with a little weight gain. Happier in life nowadays. Heard too many horror stories around me. People end up in ER. Surgeries. No thanks.”

Although Wilkinson didn’t share which GLP-1 drug she tried, popular options are Ozempic and Wegovy. The two FDA-approved prescription medications are brand names for semaglutide, which work in the brain to impact satiety.

The medications — taken by injection in the thigh, stomach or arm — have been trending as a weight-loss aid in and out of Hollywood.

Additionally, many other stars have used tirzepatide, which works by reducing appetite and improving how the body breaks down sugar and fat. Tirzepatide is known by brand names Mounjaro and Zepbound, competitors of Ozempic and Wegovy.

Wilkinson’s post comes after she clapped back at body shamers earlier this year on social media.

On Jan. 12, she posted a mirror selfie and shared that while she’s gained weight, she’s “happy, healthy and at peace.”

“Yes, I’ve gained weight. Yes, im aging. Yes, I’m not that girl i was before (playboy girl) 🤣 but for once in a long time I feel good and mentally healthy,” aid Wilkinson, who was just 18 when she first moved into the Playboy Mansion.

“For those of you hating on my new weight, 40 yr old face please know that I’m happy, healthy and at peace in life finally. Leave me alone and respect that I’m where I actually want to be finally all together.” she continued. “Almost 40 is feeling amazing.”
