The free weekend-long event of Playbill and The Times Square Alliance contains a number of Broadway favorite performances.

Proud in Times Square is officially back for his third year! The weekend-long event, hosted by Playbill and The Times Square Alliance, invites theater fans to the heart of Broadway to proudly celebrate with some of their favorite stage stars. This year’s event, free for the public, contains performances of Broadway Favorites, a night -time party at night and more.

The weekend closed June 30 when the Playbill Pride Float returned to the NYC Pride March, with the supporting partner Heritage of Pride. Buses with double deck of some of the Proud in Times Square Sponsors will also tackle the fun and help make 2024 NYC Pride extra special.

The fun starts June 28 with the Broadway Pride Block Party that rains or shines at 5:15 pm. The Musica;; My son is a queer (but what can you do?);; The notebook;; Oh, Mary!;; The play that goes wrong;; SES: The musical;; Enough;; Titaníque;; Water for elephants;; The WHO’s Tommy;; A wonderful world: The Louis Armstrong Music;; and Evil.

The event is part of Playbill’s LGBTQIA+ Pride celebration throughout the entire month of June, seeing the iconic Yellow Playbill logo Changed to a pride rainbow on programs distributed on Broadway and in Great Theaters nationwide.

After Proud in Times Square Almost 800,000 participants were seen, with social media coverage attracting more than 1 million impressions. The Pride march of 2023 was attended by a staggering 2.4 million people. The third annual Proud in Times Square is offered by Viiv Healthcare and NYC Pride, with additional support of Summit One Vanderbilt, the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment, and motto by Hilton Nyc Times Square.
