40 bodies of all Khoziny Islamic boarding school collapse victims have been identified
Jakarta – BNPB has transferred the latest developments on the process of identifying the bodies of the victims of the collapse of the Al Khoziny Islamic boarding school in Sidoarjo, East Java. From tonight, 40 bodies have been identified. “A total of 40 names of the 61 bodies of victims of the collapse of the four-story prayer building at Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School, Buduran, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, were identified,” the head of the BNPB disaster data, information and communications Center, Abdul Muhari, (8/10/2025). Police found the initial suspicion of the cause of the building that collapses. “From the beginning, we suspected that construction failure was the biggest cause. That’s why we had civil engineering experts and experts on building an official analysis,” said Nanang Avianto, chief inspector of East Java, as Antara reports Wednesday (8/10). Nanang said 17 witnesses were investigated in this case. The Witnesses consisted of experts and parties related to the construction of the Al Khoziny Islamic boarding school. “We have investigated about 17 witnesses and the number can continue to increase.
