Social audit of the Panchayati Raj section schemes will be made in a total of 4,345 panchayats from the state. It also contains 265 Panchayats in the Palamu district. Through social audit, activities and achievements of departmental schemes and programs, including Panchayat buildings, Panchayat Gyan Kendra, Digital Panchayat scheme will be reviewed. During this period, the implementation of the schemes, transparency and the benefits given to the public will be thoroughly investigated. In this regard, the Director of Panchayati Raj wrote a letter to the director of Jharkhand Social Audit Society and issued the necessary guidelines. This will ensure that the correct position of the schemes can be revealed at the Panchayat level and that the defects can be removed. The transparency of schemes related to rural development and Panchayati Raj has long been questioned. Social audit will not only clear up the real situation, but also determine the accountability of public representatives and officials.
