The latest Mario kart Title has officially bone revealed by nintendo, and it is called Mario Kart World. Not only is the game bigger, but so is the number of racetracks, and the number of character. One look at the trailer, and it is easy to get overwhelmed by the number of racers in the game. Everyone seems to be joining the party this time, from the classic mario to a penguin. Cow

Straight outta moo moo meadows

Granted, the cow, or moo moo if you prefer, are not the most obscure character, but it is one that took me by surprise. This animal has appeared in multiple mario games over the years, but first appeared in Mario kart 64 Back in 1997. The track that this animal first appeared in is none other than moo moo moo farm – the track that was remade for Mario Kart 8. Moo moos have made other appearances as well in games such as Mario Pinball Land, Mario Party 2 and 3, and even Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. It is easy to overlook these animals as they have never had a massive impact on the games they have been in. That changes now, if you will get the chance to race as a moo moo in Mario Kart World.

Para-Biddybug

It was a car?

Next up is the para-biddybug. You might recognize this character from Super Mario 3D country, where it made its first appearance. It has also appeared in Super Mario 3D World, Mario Party Island Tour, and Mario Party Jamboree. This character also made an appearance in Mario kart 8but instead of being a racer, nintendo turned it into one of the karts. In the Trailer for Mario Kart Worldyou can see the para-biddybug driving itself around in a literal sense as it drives the car version of itself that appeared in the previous kart-racer.

Peepa

Not the same as boo

You might be used to the only ghost in Mario Games Being Boo. That isnt the case, if you can find peepa roaming around in certain games. Similar to the Para-Biddybug, this character was first introduced in Super Mario 3D country. The enemy only appeared in the ghost house and would appear alongside boo. After this, the enemy appeared in New Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario 3D World, and various Mario party Titles such as Jamboree and SuperStars. Now, you can scare the daylights out of other drivers using this character in Mario Kart World.

Conkdor

It’s Like an Ostrich with a Turtle Shell

Yet another background character joining the chaos in the next Mario Game is Conkdor. This strange bird creature has been an enemy in different mario games and has even been a background character in others. They typically sit still in a specific local and then slam their head down when you get close to them. They first appeared in Super Mario 3D World but have since appeared in games such as Captain Toead: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party: Star Rush, Mario Tennis Aces, and Dr. Mario World. This is yet another enemy that made a strange appearance in the trailer, especially since it lacks the arms needed to steer a race car.

Cataquack

The cataquack came as a surprise to many, as this character is from a rather old mario title. Specifically, Cataquack First Made an appearance in Super Mario Sunshine On the Nintendo Gamecube. They would walk around gelato beach and charge mario whenever he got close to them. After that, this enemy appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Kart Arcade, Mario Kart Wii, and Super Mario Galaxy. There aren’t many games that feature this round foe, which makes it all the more surprising that it was included in the roster of the next Mario kart title.
